Laundry Worker

Position Overview

Join Healthcare Services Group, Inc. as a Laundry Worker, playing an essential role in ensuring clean and readily available linens and garments at a long-term care facility in Calhoun, GA. This role directly supports creating a hygienic and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike.

Responsibilities

• Gather, sort, launder, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing items.
• Operate laundry machinery with focus on safety and efficiency.
• Keep accurate records of laundry operations and promptly notify supervisors about equipment maintenance or safety concerns.
• Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and universal precautions to maintain sanitation standards.
• Engage respectfully and positively with residents, coworkers, and visitors providing excellent customer service.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Preference for candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in laundry operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Maintain a positive mindset and communicate effectively with building occupants, management, and HCSG leadership to fulfill responsibilities.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies as prescribed.
• Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push or pull the same weight, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for prolonged periods.
• Ability to work safely with cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and consistently perform routine repetitive tasks.
• Must reside within the service area.
