Laundry Worker

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal apparel efficiently and safely.
• Operate laundry machinery following safety and operational standards.
• Document laundry processes accurately and communicate maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Engage professionally and positively with residents, staff, and visitors ensuring excellent service.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior laundry experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Demonstrate a positive demeanor and clear communication with building occupants, administration, and management.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
• Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, or walk for extended durations.
• Tolerant to exposure to cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions and perform repetitive daily tasks reliably.
• Must reside within the facility's service area.
