Laundry Attendant

Position Overview

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for operating and overseeing the washing, dry cleaning, and drying machines. This includes adding necessary chemicals and cleaning lint traps regularly. The role involves inspecting items for stains or damage, deciding if they require repair, spot treatment, rewashing, or disposal. Attendants also check the cleanliness of articles after washing or drying and assist in sorting them into clean linen carts.

Setting dryers accurately according to fabric type, cleaning lint and debris from machines after each load, and folding laundered articles by hand or using a folding machine are key duties. It is important to maintain precise records of laundered items.

Work Environment and Safety

The incumbent must adhere to all safety and security protocols, promptly reporting accidents and hazards. Uniforms and personal appearance should be clean and professional. Confidentiality of company information must be maintained, alongside protection of company property. The role requires physical endurance including standing, sitting, walking for prolonged periods, lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds, and navigating confined or uneven spaces.

This is a non-management, full-time position based in Doha, Qatar. No prior work experience or supervisory background is necessary, and there is no requirement for specific educational qualifications or certifications.
