Role Overview

We invite a skilled and creative Landscape Architect to join our Urbanism + Planning studio in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role involves conceiving innovative landscape designs and guiding their execution from initial concept to project completion. You will work closely with multidisciplinary professionals, clients, and contractors to deliver outdoor environments that are visually appealing, functionally effective, and environmentally responsible, supporting the region's urban evolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop detailed landscape concepts and comprehensive master plans for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects using industry-standard software.
• Perform in-depth site analyses and feasibility assessments considering local factors such as climate, soil characteristics, water management, and environmental conditions prevalent in Abu Dhabi.
• Prepare precise technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents to clearly articulate design intentions to stakeholders and contractors.
• Lead the design process from concept development through final documentation, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
• Collaborate seamlessly with architects, engineers, and other professionals to integrate landscape elements within overall project designs.
• Incorporate sustainable principles, including water conservation techniques, use of native vegetation, and climate-adaptive strategies, into landscape solutions.
• Present design proposals effectively to clients, welcoming and applying feedback through iterative refinement.
• Supervise project execution by coordinating with contractors, performing site inspections, and upholding quality standards during implementation.
• Oversee project schedules, budgeting, and resource allocation to deliver efficient, cost-effective outcomes.
• Keep abreast of contemporary industry trends, innovations, and regulatory requirements affecting landscape architecture in the UAE.

Qualifications and Skills

• 3 to 5+ years of landscape architecture experience with proven capabilities in design and project management.
• Advanced skills in 3D visualization tools such as SketchUp, Revit, or other BIM software.
• Thorough understanding of landscape design principles, spatial planning techniques, and site assessment methods.
• Experience working with GIS software and digital mapping technologies for environmental and site analysis.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite for visualization and presentation purposes.
• Strong commitment to sustainable landscape design and environmental stewardship practices.

Additional Requirements

Applicants must submit an up-to-date portfolio alongside their application. All new hires must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding session at an AECOM office as part of the employment process.
