Field Services Labourer Overview
Mackay Regional Council invites applications for the role of Field Services Labourer to assist with the building, upkeep, and repair of council infrastructure. This position supports the provision of safe, efficient, and dependable services across the region, playing a vital role in delivering positive community outcomes.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is dependable, motivated, and enjoys practical hands-on work outdoors. A strong appreciation for safety, collaboration, adherence to instructions, and delivering high-quality results is essential.
Key Duties
- Support civil construction and maintenance tasks, including work on roads and drainage systems.
- Safely operate hand tools, small machinery, and equipment as per safety guidelines.
- Perform general laboring activities and manual handling jobs.
- Keep work areas safe, clean, and well-organized.
- Follow all council policies, procedures, and workplace health and safety standards.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a Construction Industry White Card.
- Valid Class C Driver Licence.
- Capability to perform physical labor outdoors under varying conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety in the workplace.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Previous involvement in civil construction or maintenance roles.
- Licences or tickets for relevant plant and equipment operation.
