Kitchen Helper

Overview

We are seeking a Kitchen Helper to support the Chef and kitchen team with daily culinary operations and food preparation tasks. This role involves basic food prep skills such as vegetable cutting, peeling, washing, portioning, weighing, organizing ingredients, and assisting in mise en place.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with pre-preparation activities like chopping vegetables, cleaning and arranging ingredients.
• Prepare basic components and keep all kitchen items ready for service.
• Apply fundamental food preparation techniques such as boiling, blanching, soaking, and straining under the Chef's guidance.
• Maintain consistent quality by following instructions carefully.
• Demonstrate quick and accurate chopping with safe knife handling.
• Complete food prep tasks within designated kitchen timelines.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the workstation.
• Clean and organize kitchen utensils and equipment after use.
• Properly store ingredients and manage kitchen waste according to food safety standards.
