Role Overview

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be integral in developing and enhancing systems that facilitate foreign exchange (FX) trading. Your contributions will focus on creating fast, stable, and scalable applications that improve trading reliability and efficiency. Collaboration with engineers, product teams, and operations will be key, alongside contributing ideas to shape system architecture and functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and improve backend services using Java.
• Design solutions that enhance system reliability and scalability.
• Optimize system performance and stability.
• Own development features through all stages from coding to production deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and operations.
• Participate in team activities such as planning sessions, code reviews, and mentoring.
• Troubleshoot production issues and engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Enhance software delivery processes and uphold quality standards.
• Create automated tests and support continuous integration and delivery practices.
• Adhere to secure coding practices and help meet compliance standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in backend system development within a professional setting.
• Strong proficiency in Java programming.
• Good understanding of system performance optimization and concurrency management.
• Experience with development tools including Git and continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines.
• Comfortable working in a Linux operating environment.

Preferred Experience

• Background in trading or financial systems development.
• Knowledge of messaging protocols such as FIX.
