Job Responsibilities

• Execute janitorial and maintenance tasks as specified by supervisors, ensuring cleanliness by removing dirt, dust, litter, and debris from all facility areas using tools like brooms, mops, and brushes.
• Conduct multiple daily rounds to collect and dispose of trash and debris.
• Empty trash containers both indoors and outdoors, including office spaces.
• Identify and report malfunctioning equipment or burnt-out lighting.
• Promptly clean any spills.
• Submit maintenance or repair requests as necessary.
• Adhere to OSHA safety standards and regulations.
• Perform thorough cleaning of all restrooms.
• Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies.
• Keep daily records of cleaning services performed.
• Operate commercial cleaning machines pertinent to the job.
• Shovel and clear snow from entrances, exits, and designated areas using proper equipment.
• Report any policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual incidents to management promptly.
• Implement customer service practices including key satisfaction behaviors to ensure positive interactions.
• Assist customers in the facility or as directed by supervisors.
• Independently or with supervision, resolve customer complaints.
• Stay knowledgeable about operational aspects and perform additional duties as required.
• Maintain a clean appearance and wear complete uniform as scheduled.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education and experience combination.
• Experience or skills in facility maintenance, electrical work, or painting may be required depending on assignment.
• Maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record if driving company vehicles or for business is needed.
• Flexibility to work special shifts, including third shift or weekends, based on facility needs.
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
• Customer service orientation with ability to maintain a positive demeanor and respond effectively to requests and inquiries.
• Adaptability to changing work conditions and situations.
• Sound judgment and professionalism, especially under pressure.
• Physical capability to handle extended periods of standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, and the ability to lift over 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and handle exposure to dust, chemicals, and other irritants.

Salary and Benefits

The position offers an hourly wage of $21.50. Eligible employees have access to benefits including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, disability insurance (short and long term), life and accident insurance, 401(k) plans, and paid time off.
