IT Infrastructure Engineers – Systems, Virtualization, and Storage (SS08 to SS11)

Overview

Sigma Solutions is seeking experienced IT Infrastructure Engineers specializing in Linux Systems Administration, Virtualization, Microsoft Infrastructure, and Storage & Backup for positions SS08, SS09, SS10, and SS11. These roles require a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, professional engineering accreditation in Saudi Arabia, proficiency in English, and a minimum of five years in relevant IT roles. Candidates must be able to manage work pressure effectively, adhere to working hours, and commit to ongoing self-improvement.

Position Details

SS08 – Linux Systems Administrator

• Hands-on management of Linux operating systems, including server networking, firewalls, RAID configurations, disk management, and integration with EMC SAN/NAS.
• Installation, configuration, administration, and updates of Linux and related environments.
• Setting up storage disks, RAID schemes, firewalls, and TCP/IP networking protocols.
• Linking central servers to EMC SAN and NAS storage facilities.
• Ensuring high availability of central servers and monitoring system resources such as memory and processor usage.
• Diagnosing faults, preparing detailed technical reports, and maintaining system documentation.
• Implementing security standards and facilitating training for knowledge transfer.

SS09 – Virtualization Engineer

• Expertise in Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware virtualization platforms, including vSphere, NSX, ESXi, vCenter Server, and VMware Workstation with EMC SAN/NAS integration.
• Deployment and management of virtualized environments and integrating servers with SAN/NAS storage.
• Analysing virtualization issues, conducting technical assessments, and producing technical documentation, reports, and recommendations.
• Monitoring server performance, handling maintenance tracking, fault investigation, and application of security measures.
• Leading training sessions and transferring knowledge to team members.

SS10 – Microsoft Infrastructure Administrator

• Proficient in Microsoft server operating systems (Windows Server 2016 & 2019), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NTFS permissions, and Group Policy administration.
• Managing Microsoft Exchange servers, email services, SCCM, WSUS, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, and monitoring MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SharePoint environments.
• Installing, updating, and maintaining Microsoft infrastructure components while ensuring security compliance.
• Performance monitoring of servers, resource utilization, fault analysis, and preparing comprehensive technical reports and documentation.
• Training and knowledge sharing to enhance team capabilities.

SS11 – Storage and Backup Engineer

• Experienced in configuring and maintaining EMC SAN/NAS storage systems and Data Domain backup devices, including vendor coordination.
• Executing storage zoning, RAID configurations, and software updates for storage and backup systems.
• Performing backup operations, data recovery, disaster restoration, and regular verification of backup integrity.
• Monitoring storage and backup performance, managing fault tracking, and conducting technical studies and problem analysis.
• Preparing system designs, reports, maintaining documentation, ensuring security standards, and conducting training and knowledge transfer.

Additional Information

• Applicants must hold professional accreditation from the Saudi Council of Engineers.
