Investor Relations Associate

About the Role

We are seeking an Investor Relations Associate to expand the investor base at Paires, a platform connecting founders with a global network of family offices and high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs). Paires is a self-funded, profitable, two-sided marketplace where founders raise capital and our agents nurture investor relationships into productive meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage your own portfolio of allocator relationships, including family offices and HNWIs investing in US startups.
• Support active mandates by qualifying investors, preparing briefing notes, and following up on live deals adhering to company standards.
• Engage in regular outreach to open new investor conversations, maintaining a steady cadence of first meetings monthly.
• Continuously grow your expertise by shadowing senior investor calls and refining your briefing skills.

Candidate Profile

• Established initial allocator network via experience in wealth management, private banking, family offices, placement, or independent efforts, with demonstrable self-sourced relationships.
• Articulate a clear approach for identifying investors, securing initial meetings, and maintaining long-term usefulness to investors.
• Understand how investors allocate capital, especially with direct investments into US startups.
• Prioritize listening over pitching; respect investor time and avoid forcing meetings.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding investor details and conversations.
• Leverage advanced AI tools to efficiently manage workflows, focusing time on investor engagement rather than administration.
