About the Role
The Inventory Officer plays a crucial role in managing daily warehouse and inventory functions, ensuring stock records are meticulous, items are received and dispatched correctly, and reports are generated promptly. This position helps prevent inventory inaccuracies, guarantees availability of fast-moving products, and supports seamless supply chain operations within Floward.
Responsibilities
- Maintain precise documentation of stock movements, product codes, and system data entries.
- Support the reconciliation process of work orders to confirm correctness of materials and products.
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipments to avoid overstocking or shortages.
- Report any mismatches between physical stock and recorded system information.
- Assist with receiving inventory items, verifying quantity and quality against purchase orders.
- Liaise with procurement and warehouse teams to facilitate timely and accurate processing of goods.
- Inspect date-sensitive products for expiry dates and help in their removal or transfer.
- Notify supervisors about any damaged or lost goods to initiate corrective measures.
- Compile and deliver daily and weekly stock balance and stagnancy reports.
- Help prepare inventory reports for management analyses.
- Track fundamental operational KPIs including stock accuracy, return rates, and defective items.
- Adhere to standard procedures for inventory and warehouse activities to maintain operational efficiency.
- Comply with health and safety standards within the occupational environment.
- Support filing claims for defective or returned goods when necessary.
- Collaborate across functions—Category, Sales, Procurement—to ensure product availability and prompt order completion.
Qualifications & Experience
- Holder of a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a similar discipline is preferred.
- Experience of 1 to 3 years in inventory management or warehouse operations, ideally in retail or e-commerce settings.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or equivalents is advantageous.
- Good command of MS Excel and fundamental reporting skills.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and efficient time management.
- Preferably bilingual in English and Arabic.
