Role Overview

Due to changes within our Hawke's Bay team, we are recruiting an Intermediate or Senior Civil Engineer for our Napier office. This position involves supporting resilient community projects throughout the Hawke's Bay region. You will engage in diverse projects ranging from flood protection to public infrastructure improvements, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, planners, and managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver civil infrastructure, land development, three waters, transport, and resilience projects.
• Prepare technical designs, assessments, reporting, and construction documentation.
• Lead or support project implementation depending on your experience.
• Interact with clients, councils, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Assist in construction monitoring and contract management activities.
• Collaborate effectively within T+T's multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to proposals, business development, and nurturing client relationships.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a positive, high-performance team environment.

Candidate Profile

Intermediate Engineer candidates should have:

• Relevant civil engineering experience, preferably in consulting.
• A background in civil infrastructure, land development, transport, or three waters projects.
• Strong project coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A motivation to grow technical and consulting expertise.
• Progress towards professional chartership.

Senior Engineer candidates should demonstrate:

• Substantial experience managing civil engineering projects in consulting settings.
• Advanced technical skills in civil infrastructure and land development.
• Leadership experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams and project delivery.
• Excellent client and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience mentoring and developing engineers.
• Chartered Professional Engineer status or equivalent is highly valued.

• A Civil Engineering degree or related qualification.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
