Job Overview

The Interface Coordinator role entails overseeing and managing the interactions and coordination between various design disciplines, project packages, clients, authorities, consultants, contractors, and utility stakeholders to ensure smooth project integration within large infrastructure developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate interfaces among different project disciplines, including consultants, contractors, utility providers, government authorities, and stakeholders.
  • Develop, update, and maintain Interface Registers alongside action tracking tools to monitor issues.
  • Organize and facilitate interface meetings that focus on resolving technical, design, and stakeholder-related challenges effectively.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and conflicts connected to interfaces and aid in executing mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with Roads, Transportation, Utilities, Civil, Structures, and Traffic teams to assure seamless, integrated project delivery.
  • Track progress on interface tasks to guarantee timely resolution and closure.
  • Assist with stakeholder engagement and foster robust communication flow across various project teams.
  • Examine project deliverables, design documents, and technical materials to assess potential impacts on interfaces.
  • Prepare comprehensive interface reports, dashboards, and progress updates for project managers and clients.
  • Ensure adherence to project procedures, quality standards, and client-specific requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field.
  • Experience ranging from 5 to 12 years working with roads, transportation, infrastructure, or utilities projects.
  • Demonstrated background as an Interface Coordinator, Interface Engineer, Project Coordinator, or in similar capacities within major infrastructure projects.
  • Experience collaborating with international engineering consulting firms is essential.
  • Skilled in managing multidisciplinary design teams and numerous stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of road infrastructure, transportation systems, utility corridors, and coordination with authorities.
  • Familiarity with managing Interface Registers and related interface management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Abu Dhabi or UAE infrastructure project norms is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and project management or document control software.
