About the Role
Our client, a prominent insurance company based in Auckland, is looking for an Integration Developer to join their team. This role mainly involves creating and maintaining APIs, integrations, and automation frameworks while working collaboratively with engineering, QA, DevOps, and architectural teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and support applications, APIs, integrations, and associated services
- Create integration solutions using contemporary technology stacks such as Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, and front-end platforms
- Integrate various SaaS platforms including Salesforce and other business-critical systems
- Develop and sustain automated testing suites including unit, integration, and regression tests where applicable
- Engage in code review processes to uphold high standards in quality, security, performance, and maintainability
- Assist with software releases including deployments, smoke testing, validation, and monitoring after release
- Investigate defects and incidents, providing on-going production support
- Partner with DevOps teams to ensure solutions are easily deployable, observable, and operationally sound
- Document technical processes and contribute towards continuous improvement in delivery methodologies
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software development, integration, or related disciplines
- Proven expertise in creating RESTful APIs, integration services, and service-oriented solutions
- Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot or Node.js environments
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment strategies, and DevOps principles
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and iterative delivery cycles
- Understanding of secure coding standards and version control best practices
- Strong communication, analytical problem-solving abilities, and teamwork mindset
- Comfort with utilizing AI-enhanced tools to aid in development, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment
