Job Overview

An established insurance company in Dubai is looking for an experienced Insurance Underwriter to manage the full underwriting lifecycle for medical insurance policies. This role involves preparing quotations, negotiating terms, handling new policies and renewals, as well as ensuring compliance with underwriting standards. Strong capabilities in analysis, communication, and knowledge of the UAE insurance brokerage market are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and present medical insurance quotations and comparisons tailored for clients.
• Provide clients with expert guidance on available medical insurance plans and their features.
• Negotiate with insurers on policy terms, pricing structures, and benefit inclusions.
• Administer new policy issuance, renewals, and policy endorsements accurately.
• Manage group medical insurance adjustments including additions and removals of members.
• Follow underwriting policies and guidelines to maintain compliance.
• Build and sustain strong professional relationships with insurers, Third Party Administrators (TPAs), and clients.
• Prepare and deliver client presentations, and participate in strategic meetings as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum three years of experience in insurance brokerage within the UAE, with over five years desirable.
• A bachelor's degree in any field.
• In-depth knowledge of medical insurance underwriting and the UAE market norms.
• Excellent skills in communication, client engagement, and presentations.
• Highly proficient in English; knowledge of Hindi is an added benefit.
• Strong aptitude for negotiation and analytical problem-solving.
• Ability to work autonomously while adhering to deadlines.
