Role Overview

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Delivery is responsible for the comprehensive design, planning, execution, and management of the global AWS infrastructure network that supports the cloud at scale. The team operates across critical infrastructure domains including compute, storage, networking, electrical power, and cooling systems, ensuring uninterrupted access for customers worldwide.

This role is embedded in a multidisciplinary team consisting of software and hardware engineers, network experts, supply chain specialists, security professionals, and operations leaders collectively driving the deployment and maintenance of scalable, secure, and reliable data center infrastructure globally.

The Install Technician will be focused on supporting the deployment and expansion of advanced network infrastructure within AWS next-generation data centers, requiring a blend of technical acumen, operational discipline, and excellent communication skills in high-pressure environments. This position demands strong autonomy, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to maintain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct installation of racks, structured cabling, hardware deployment, and validation within global data centers.
• Perform troubleshooting and verification tasks to guarantee safe and precise delivery of infrastructure at scale.
• Collaborate closely with network engineering, operations, security, and logistics teams to ensure accurate and efficient infrastructure builds.
• Exercise ownership and adherence to safety and quality standards in fast-paced, mission-critical deployment environments with minimal supervision.
• Identify potential risks proactively and uphold operational excellence during complex deployments.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong background in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience with computer networking and familiarity with TCP/IP network protocols.
• Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Understanding of network design, related protocols, and Layer 1 and Layer 2 troubleshooting methods.
• Basic knowledge of cloud computing technologies.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer-focused experience resolving issues efficiently under pressure.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
• Proficiency with server hardware and component knowledge.
