Job Overview

Join Baker Hughes as an Inspection - QC II specialist in Doha, Qatar, contributing to a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional service by performing critical Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections on energy components.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct NDT inspections such as Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI), Red-dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and generate comprehensive inspection reports.
• Support various inspection tasks including receipt of parts, Part Number and Serial Number logging, visual and dimensional inspections, with thorough documentation.
• Perform assembly-stage and final acceptance inspections on Gas Turbine Components, Rotors, Centrifugal Compressor Rotors, and Steam Turbine Rotors according to strict inspection standards.
• Execute visual and dimensional inspections in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and handle nonconforming material disposition.
• Collaborate with production teams to manage nonconforming products by identifying, documenting, and segregating them in designated holding areas pending resolution.
• Prepare inspection documentation for nonconforming items and ensure proper tagging and reporting.
• Participate actively in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
• Conduct periodic calibration and inspection of measuring instruments and testing apparatus ensuring compliance with Baker Hughes' standards.
• Ensure inspections at all stages are properly executed with accurate records before product release.
• Maintain clean workspaces and comply with housekeeping requirements.
• Update digital shop floor systems including Digital Work Orders, time tracking, and operation completion records.
• Uphold Health, Safety, and Environment protocols within the workplace.
• Fully comply with Baker Hughes policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent High School Certificate with relevant experience.
• Minimum five years of inspection experience within a gas turbine repair or related service environment.
• ASNT Level II certification in NDT methodologies: Penetrant Testing (PT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Radiographic Testing (RT).
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings.
• Experience using inspection, measuring, and testing equipment.
