Field Coordinator Specialist

Overview

The Field Coordinator Specialist is an essential member of the Baker Hughes team, delivering maintenance and servicing of rotating machinery on customer sites. Role Responsibilities

• Carry out both curative and preventive maintenance on rotating equipment including gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, and related machinery at client locations.
• Follow work instructions provided by technical authorities such as Field Service Engineers and supervisors.
• Disassemble machine components involving mechanical and instrumentation elements.
• Clean dismantled parts thoroughly.
• Conduct instrumentation testing, calibration, and inspection including dimensional checks of components.
• Perform repair operations like drilling, tapping, and parts replacement.
• Reassemble rotating machine parts precisely and carry out accurate measurements.
• Apply non-destructive testing (NDT) and support welding tasks.
• Ensure all site operations comply with company guidelines and procedures.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a mechanical and/or instrumentation degree from an accredited institution, or alternatively a high school diploma coupled with a minimum of five years’ experience in maintenance or engineering support roles.
• Preferred experience includes logistics, maintenance, or systems engineering expertise.
• Skills in rigging and crane operations are advantageous.
• Strong oral and written communication capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage and distribute tasks effectively in field environments, prioritizing customer urgency and satisfaction.
