Role Overview
Apna's Growth and Business team drives user acquisition and revenue across all business streams, helping the company establish a dominant market position within the first 18 months post-launch. The team manages diverse strategies including marketing, sales, product improvements, and partnerships, focusing on resource allocation, cost management, and timeline optimization. To support its next growth phase, Apna seeks a skilled Business Development professional comfortable with rapid sales cycles and engaging CXO-level executives, particularly in an individual contributor capacity. The successful candidate will be instrumental in exceeding ambitious targets for new client acquisition and revenue development in the enterprise segment.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell enterprise-level online recruitment solutions by accurately understanding and addressing corporate client needs.
- Meet and exceed sales goals by acquiring new business and expanding current client accounts.
- Develop a qualified lead database utilizing referrals, cold calls, social networks, and other methods.
- Conduct territory mapping, prospecting, negotiating terms, finalizing contracts, and closing deals with proper documentation.
- Maintain persistent prospecting efforts to build a robust sales pipeline and nurture personal relationships with potential clients.
- Advocate for Apna’s suite of products and services.
- Engage actively in the dynamic environment of a growing startup, leading your expertise area.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 1 year experience managing major accounts, preferably within the HR technology sector.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships, particularly interfacing with senior company leadership and managing client expectations.
- Strong operational and commercial business insight coupled with negotiation prowess.
- Proficient communication skills in at least two languages.
- Complete experience handling lead generation through to deal closure.
