About the Role
Join Primark as an Image Librarian on a 12-month fixed-term contract, supporting the management and enhancement of our Digital Asset Management (DAM) system to ensure the highest standards for all image assets. This position is based in Dublin and is integral in maintaining quality control, metadata accuracy, naming conventions, archiving, and lifecycle handling of extensive digital imagery.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop the DAM system, providing frontline support for troubleshooting, advising on best practices, and implementing improvements.
- Manage comprehensive lifecycle processes for digital images, including ingesting assets, applying metadata, taxonomy, and usage rights, tracking expiration, and enforcing quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with both internal teams and external partners, fostering strong communication and dependable relationships to support diverse DAM users.
- Address image-related issues, perform minor retouching and editing tasks, and balance multiple campaigns ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Supervise all imagery types at Primark, including product, studio, creative, and campaign content to ensure precision and consistent quality.
- Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing quality, promoting ownership and accountability, and driving efficiencies in digital asset workflows.
- Align asset management strategies with Primark's broader business goals, factoring in commercial impact and market trends during decision-making.
- Encourage innovation, teamwork, knowledge sharing, and cultivate trust and engagement across various departments through effective leadership.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience working within Digital Asset Management systems and managing metadata for digital assets.
- Understanding of photography, image retouching, and creative processes common in media and agency environments.
- Proficiency with Photoshop, including color profiling, image sizing, and relevant file formats.
- Familiarity with media and broadcast metadata standards and associated file types.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact diplomatically across teams.
- Excellent visual literacy and attention to detail.
- A problem-solving approach with a focus on practical solutions.
