Key Responsibilities
- Produce and update precise CAD drawings for store layouts involving new stores, relocations, extensions, renovations, and existing store modifications.
- Develop departmental layouts, floor equipment positioning, linear footage plans, and stockroom racking arrangements to meet operational and commercial needs.
- Prepare and handle drawing packages for approvals, planning, and design while maintaining control of revisions and documentation.
- Enforce Primark's CAD standards, templates, drawing procedures, and block libraries to ensure consistency across all projects.
- Review consultant drawings for adherence to Primark standards, and provide training, guidance, and technical assistance related to CAD for teams and consultants.
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, contractors, and project teams to integrate layouts accurately, manage drawing systems, and promote continual improvements in CAD quality and operational efficiency.
Candidate Profile and Skills
- Possess a qualification in AutoCAD, Architectural Technology, Interior Design, or a related field with at least three years’ experience in retail, architecture, space planning, or design environments.
- Highly skilled in AutoCAD, including the creation of technical drawings, retail layouts, fixture and space planning, and maintaining standardized CAD protocols.
- Experienced in managing drawing revisions, document control, drawing distribution, and maintenance of CAD libraries and governance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with retail planning and collaboration tools such as StoreSpace, ACC, SharePoint, or Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to coordinate and work effectively with consultants, international project teams, contractors, and various internal departments.
- Organized, detail-conscious, proactive, excellent communicator with an adaptable, collaborative style and a dedication to high-quality, continuous improvement.
Additional Information
This position offers a hybrid working arrangement with two days per week working remotely. The role provides 27 days of leave annually plus bank holidays, with an option to purchase an additional five days.
