Job description

Position Overview

As a Regional Planner at Primark, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping product assortment strategies for the Iberia region, ensuring offerings align with local customer preferences and market developments. Collaborating closely with Buying, Merchandising, and Design teams, you will leverage data analytics to drive informed product decisions and enhance overall profitability. This role involves frequent presence at the Arthur Ryan House in Dublin and occasional travel within Spain and Portugal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement tailored product ranges for the Iberian market, utilizing insights on market dynamics, customer behaviors, climate, and store locations.
  • Manage grading, option planning, and sizing analysis, delivering actionable recommendations to relevant teams.
  • Track sales metrics, competitor strategies, and market trends to uncover expansion prospects and maximize range profitability.
  • Collaborate with Space Planning, Retail, and Product departments to allocate appropriate product assortment and store space.
  • Provide data-driven reports and presentations that influence product direction, investment, and trading strategies.
  • Ensure synchronization between global product policies and Iberia’s commercial priorities, reflecting local customer demands across all product categories.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of five years' experience in Product or Branch Merchandising with comprehensive category responsibility within a fast-paced fashion retail setting.
  • Strong command of grading, range development, sales forecasting, and trade analysis, coupled with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with merchandising and analytical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders using insightful, data-backed arguments.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities to concisely convey complex data and market insights.
  • Highly organized, detail-conscious, and adept at juggling multiple priorities to deliver quality results in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaborative and proactive mindset with a proven ability to foster cross-functional relationships and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
