Job description

Role Overview

The Planner is responsible for overseeing the planning, detailed analysis, and optimization of merchandise performance across a specified General Merchandise portfolio. The role involves creating comprehensive sales, inventory, intake, assortment, margin, and promotional strategies designed to promote profitable growth, enhance stock efficiency, and ensure product availability to customers.

Key Responsibilities

Accountable for converting trading data, customer purchasing trends, financial targets, and inventory metrics into practical planning guidance. This allows buyers, replenishment teams, supply chain, finance, and operations departments to execute well-grounded commercial decisions effectively.

The Planner serves as the planning expert for the portfolio, proactively pinpointing potential risks and growth opportunities, critically evaluating underlying assumptions, improving forecast precision, and fostering best planning practices that support long-term category success.
