3D Fit Specialist

Overview

Primark is seeking a 3D Fit Specialist to lead the enhancement and consistent application of fit standards across Womenswear, Menswear, and Childrenswear. Based in Dublin, this role plays a critical part in ensuring customer-focused fit quality and improving product development efficiencies through digital technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the development and maintenance of global standardized fit blocks to improve sample accuracy and meet tight product development deadlines.
• Apply in-depth expertise in apparel grading to secure precise fit and size progression.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) Managers and teams to ensure adoption and compliance with the Global Block Library across office functions and suppliers.
• Partner with QA and Buying teams to implement and sustain Fit Expression, Length Guides, fit standards, and processes for a uniform customer fit experience aligned with agile methodologies.
• Oversee the governance of grading rules, points of measure, fitting, and sealing protocols, working with stakeholders and suppliers to ensure consistency and uphold best practices.
• Lead fit-centered initiatives with QA, promoting digital fitting solutions with training and technical assistance for effective business-wide use.
• Work cross-functionally with Buying, Design, and global suppliers to embed digital product development and fitting technologies, supporting evolving workflows and transformation.
• Ensure technical fit specifications align with customer needs across all retail markets, including emerging ones, and apply uniformly across product categories.
• Create and keep updated technical documentation, training materials, and resources to guide and upskill stakeholders and suppliers as needed.
• Champion digital innovation by staying informed about virtual garment creation technologies and cultivating networks internally and externally to expand digital product development opportunities.

Candidate Profile

• Proven capability in delivering a comprehensive global block library aligned with fast-paced product strategies to enhance fit consistency and first-time sample success.
• Strong knowledge of apparel grading techniques with practical impact on product fit and size gradations.
• Successful experience collaborating closely with QA and Buying teams to uphold compliance with fit standards and block library use.
• Demonstrated leadership in governing apparel grading standards, measurements, fitting processes, and securing stakeholder and supplier alignment.
• Experience in facilitating digital fitting systems adoption through effective training and support.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and globally, supporting digital transformation in product development and fitting operations.
• Commitment to maintaining fit standards that meet diverse market requirements and product ranges.
• Skilled in developing detailed documentation and educational resources for continuous improvement and stakeholder empowerment.
• Passion for fostering digital innovation and engagement with advancements in virtual garment technology and workflow integration.
