Role Overview

This position involves overseeing all air-conditioning systems within the hotel, ensuring smooth operation and timely maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise the hotel’s HVAC systems to maintain optimal functionality.
• Perform emergency repairs and necessary adjustments on all air conditioning equipment and machinery promptly.
• Address trouble reports quickly and efficiently to minimize disruptions.
• Execute routine and preventive maintenance as per the established schedule.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the hotel's HVAC layout and infrastructure.
• Prioritize economical operations while strictly adhering to safety protocols.
• Recommend and carry out minor or major repairs needed to complete tasks successfully.
• Conduct statutory and mandated safety inspections when required.
• Report any equipment faults immediately to the supervisor for further action.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date log sheets related to HVAC activities.
• Attend and resolve daily HVAC issues promptly.
• Inform the supervisor upon completion of assigned jobs.
• Uphold the Yes I Can! service standards consistently.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a diploma or technical certification in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Between five to seven years of hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance, ideally within a luxury or 5-star hotel setting.
• Comprehensive understanding of chilled water systems, Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), VRF/VRV systems, and packaged units.
• Demonstrated prior supervisory experience including capability to lead, train, and schedule HVAC technicians effectively.
• Proficient in planning and executing preventive maintenance using CMMS or equivalent maintenance scheduling tools.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC control systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), and energy management techniques.
• Able to swiftly diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC issues while minimizing inconvenience to guests.
• Strong familiarity with health, safety, and fire life safety regulations pertinent to hotel environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with departments such as Engineering, Housekeeping, and Front Office.
