Role Overview

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Chief Engineer to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the maintenance department operates efficiently, keeping all areas maintained to the highest standards.
• Proactively work to enhance guest comfort and satisfaction, providing prompt and positive responses to their inquiries.
• Develop and execute plans to achieve property maintenance goals and hotel targets.
• Lead and manage the maintenance team, nurturing a culture of growth, development, and high performance.
• Prepare and oversee the department’s budget, maintaining control over costs and inventory while achieving desired productivity and performance levels.
• Establish and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders.
• Implement and manage an effective planned preventative maintenance program, addressing maintenance, environmental, and conservation concerns.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, conducting due diligence, maintaining best practice records for audits, and following up as necessary.

Candidate Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in property maintenance coupled with strong problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional leadership capabilities with a hands-on and lead-by-example management style.
• A genuine commitment to delivering exceptional guest service and a passion for the hospitality sector.
• Ability to devise innovative solutions and provide sound advice and recommendations.
