Kitchen Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking a diligent Kitchen Assistant to join our team at TungLok Teahouse in Singapore. This role involves supporting food preparation and kitchen maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operation of the culinary process.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare meal ingredients by washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruits, vegetables, poultry, and meats.
• Stir and heat soups and sauces as required to support kitchen output.
• Clean and organize all cooking tools, utensils, cutting boards, dishes, and appliances thoroughly after use.
• Properly arrange and store food items within the kitchen, cold room, and storage areas to maintain hygiene and accessibility.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management to assist in daily kitchen operations.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Prior experience in a similar kitchen role is advantageous.
• Familiarity with diverse cooking techniques, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and procedures.
• Willingness and ability to work split shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Capability to thrive in a high-speed, demanding work environment.
• Physical endurance to stand for extensive periods during shifts.
• Enthusiasm for food and eagerness to learn culinary skills.
• Strong team orientation combined with positive communication skills.
