Housekeeper

About the Role

We are pleased to present a vacancy for a Housekeeper to join the team on Ward 2A, a busy and welcoming acute ward specialising in Stroke and Older Adult Medicine. This ward provides care to patients with varied and complex health needs.

Key Responsibilities

The individual will support housekeeping functions to ensure the ward operates smoothly. Duties include aiding meal service delivery, tracking and replenishing supplies, maintaining adequate stock levels, and keeping both clinical and non-clinical areas neat and well organised. Moreover, the role involves assisting with housekeeping tasks that promote patient comfort and safety, and upholding high standards of cleanliness and infection control to enhance patient experience.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, well-organized, and dependable. Good communication and organisational skills are essential, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively within the multidisciplinary team comprising nursing and medical staff. Flexibility and initiative are valued qualities. Experience in housekeeping, hospitality, healthcare, or customer service is beneficial, though comprehensive training will be provided.
