Role Summary
This full-time, onsite position involves maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas according to the hotel's standards. Daily duties include bed-making, linen replacement, dusting, polishing surfaces, vacuuming, mopping floors, and restocking amenities and supplies. The role also encompasses managing laundry, identifying and reporting maintenance needs, and adhering to safety and hygiene protocols. You will engage courteously with guests and contribute to a supportive workplace environment.
Responsibilities
- Keep guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and common areas clean and orderly.
- Make beds and replace linen regularly.
- Dust, polish furniture and fixtures, vacuum and mop floors.
- Replenish room supplies and amenities as needed.
- Handle laundry operations including washing, drying, and folding linens and towels.
- Report maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow hygiene guidelines and safety procedures consistently.
- Interact professionally and courteously with guests and coworkers.
- Support a positive team environment through cooperation and respect.
- Participate in training programs and assist in onboarding new staff.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Experience with laundry procedures and fabric care.
- Good communication skills and a customer service mindset.
- A basic understanding of cleaning products, equipment, and sanitation standards.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks involving standing, bending, lifting, and pushing equipment or carts.
- Prior experience in housekeeping or hospitality is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Willingness to learn and follow established procedures.
- Reliability, punctuality, and respectful behavior.
