Job description
Overview
Join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in Greenwood, Nova Scotia, to deliver health, beauty, and convenience services with a customer-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Merchandise products and deliver excellent customer service.
- Manage the flow of merchandise efficiently from receiving areas to the sales floor.
- Organize the backroom inventory following Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) procedures.
- Print and execute signage, including flyers, markdowns, and labels.
- Become an expert in inventory control including product placement, expiries, and promotions.
- Receive deliveries from distribution centers, seasonal, and direct store deliveries (DSD).
- Maintain a clean and orderly backroom aligned with organizational principles.
- Complete documentation related to receiving and returning goods properly.
- Support store management in upholding standards for perishable items.
- Adhere to uniform and dress code policies projecting a professional image.
- Proactively assist customers with inquiries such as product locations, rainchecks, and loyalty programs.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and store standards strictly.
- Enforce loss prevention policies throughout the store.
- Perform other duties including cash handling as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale registers.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with changing sales floor situations.
- Accuracy in cash handling when relevant.
Work Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Flexible availability including nights and weekends.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.
