Hourly Full-Time Receiver

Overview

Join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in Greenwood, Nova Scotia, to deliver health, beauty, and convenience services with a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Merchandise products and deliver excellent customer service.
• Manage the flow of merchandise efficiently from receiving areas to the sales floor.
• Organize the backroom inventory following Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) procedures.
• Print and execute signage, including flyers, markdowns, and labels.
• Become an expert in inventory control including product placement, expiries, and promotions.
• Receive deliveries from distribution centers, seasonal, and direct store deliveries (DSD).
• Maintain a clean and orderly backroom aligned with organizational principles.
• Complete documentation related to receiving and returning goods properly.
• Support store management in upholding standards for perishable items.
• Adhere to uniform and dress code policies projecting a professional image.
• Proactively assist customers with inquiries such as product locations, rainchecks, and loyalty programs.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and store standards strictly.
• Enforce loss prevention policies throughout the store.
• Perform other duties including cash handling as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale registers.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with changing sales floor situations.
• Accuracy in cash handling when relevant.

Work Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Flexible availability including nights and weekends.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.
