Role Overview

Become a valued team member at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in Kingston, Ontario, where you will contribute to delivering health, beauty, and convenience products while maintaining a strong customer focus in a community setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage merchandise presentation while ensuring excellent customer service standards.
• Facilitate smooth merchandise flow from receiving docks to sales floor placement.
• Organize and maintain backroom stock according to Backroom Inventory Management protocols.
• Handle signage preparation and placement for promotions, flyers, markdowns, and labels.
• Maintain expertise in assigned product areas, including inventory control, product positioning, monitoring expiration dates, and promotion execution.
• Receive merchandise from Distribution Centre, seasonal deliveries, and Direct Store Delivery (DSD).
• Keep backroom area tidy and organized following established backroom organization principles.
• Complete necessary documentation for receiving and returning goods accurately.
• Support management in upholding quality standards for perishable goods as per store guidelines.
• Maintain a professional appearance aligned with uniform and dress code policies.
• Proactively greet and assist customers in store aisles, responding to questions about product locations, rainchecks, and PC Optimum program.
• Adhere to all health and safety, store standards, and loss prevention policies, ensuring proper execution across the store.
• Perform additional duties including cash handling as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong skills in planning, judgement, and decision making.
• Ability to balance teamwork with efficiency to meet merchandising and receiving demands.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining neat workspaces and accurate records.
• Adaptable to changing sales floor conditions.
• Experience with computer systems and cash registers.
• Capacity to work independently and responsibly.

Work Schedule and Physical Requirements

• Flexible to work varied shifts including nights and weekends.
• Able to lift items up to 50 pounds and use ladders safely.
