Role Overview

The Hostess position plays a vital role in delivering excellent service by greeting and assisting guests professionally. A thorough familiarity with restaurant menus and the ability to encourage additional sales are key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests upon arrival, maintaining professionalism and friendliness at all times.
• Greet guests as they leave the venue.
• Provide guests with precise wait time estimates and maintain waiting lists to efficiently assist with all food and beverage inquiries.
• Handle reservation management effectively.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the food, beverage options, and current promotions.
• Escort guests courteously to dining or bar areas.
• Distribute menus and introduce assigned waitstaff following the establishment's standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members regarding available seating arrangements.
• Adhere strictly to all safety and sanitation guidelines while interacting with guests.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a hostess is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems is a plus.
• Strong verbal communication and organizational abilities.
• Good interpersonal skills and effective problem-solving capability.
• Possession of a Basic Food Safety Certificate.
• Capability to perform well under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
