Job Overview

The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a secure and safe environment within the hotel premises. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong observational skills, clear communication, a professional appearance, and the ability to remain calm during emergencies or challenging circumstances.

Primary Duties

• Ensure safety and security for hotel guests, staff, visitors, and property.
• Conduct regular patrols throughout guest areas, entrances, service zones, parking lots, and back-of-house locations.
• Monitor CCTV for suspicious behaviors and maintain control over restricted access areas according to hotel guidelines.
• Verify identification and grant authorization for staff, contractors, visitors, and suppliers as needed.
• Respond rapidly and efficiently to security incidents, emergencies, disturbances, and guest concerns.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security logs and records.
• Assist with lost and found item management following hotel policies.
• Support emergency protocols such as evacuations, fire drills, and safety incidents by collaborating with management and local authorities.
• Ensure compliance with all security-related procedures, policies, and standards.
• Monitor deliveries and goods movement when necessary.
• Maintain discipline and enforce hotel policies respectfully and professionally.
• Safeguard hotel assets and maintain confidentiality on sensitive information.
• Provide courteous assistance to guests and colleagues while focusing on security.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Security Management.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Experience as a Security Officer or similar security role, preferably in hospitality settings such as hotels or resorts.
• Background in luxury or hospitality security considered an advantage.
• Thorough knowledge of security protocols, emergency response, and safety best practices.
• Sharp attention to detail and strong observational abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
• Physical fitness suitable for prolonged standing and walking.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Basic computer skills used to complete reports and maintain security logs.
• Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Relevant security training or certifications are preferred.
