Hostess - Wet Deck

Position Overview

As a Hostess at Wet Deck, located in West Crescent, Dubai, you will be the first point of contact for guests, warmly welcoming them and managing seating arrangements to ensure a pleasant dining experience. You will assist guests by escorting them to clean, available tables, pulling out chairs, and providing updated menus. Your role includes organizing seating for special groups, ensuring all place settings meet standards, and maintaining the cleanliness and order of the dining area throughout your shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and ascertain party size.
• Guide guests to available clean tables, prepare seating, and provide menus.
• Arrange tables and chairs to accommodate special needs.
• Ensure place settings include clean silverware, napkins, and all necessary items.
• Check that menus are current, clean, and plentiful.
• Keep work areas tidy during service using clean-as-you-go practices.
• Monitor the dining room for seating availability, guest safety, service quality, and comfort.
• Comply with all company safety and security procedures and report any accidents or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and safeguard company property.
• Interact professionally with guests and colleagues, answering telephones politely and fostering positive workplace relationships.
• Support teamwork and respond constructively to coworkers' concerns.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and expectations.
• Be prepared to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and handle items up to 10 pounds without help.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior related experience or supervisory background required.
• No certifications necessary.
