Hook Up & Commissioning Technician

Job Overview

The Hook Up & Commissioning Technician independently identifies and resolves issues within the Hook Up & Commissioning (Fabrication) discipline by selecting appropriate solutions guided by established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing of low, medium, and high voltage systems according to project specifications.
• Conduct line walk-downs and perform pre-completion evaluations of systems and sub-systems.
• Collaborate with vendors to support specific testing requirements.
• Prepare necessary materials, tools, and consumables for commissioning test activities.
• Ensure availability and use of accurate red-line mark-up drawings on site.
• Operate calibrated and certified testing instruments.
• Adhere rigorously to safety standards, quality requirements, productivity goals, and the company's code of business conduct.
• Monitor and record preservation activities to ensure compliance with project demands.
• Coordinate preservation reporting with the Preservation Coordinator.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience working on oil and gas construction projects.
• Previous involvement with FAT of SPS and SURF is preferred, especially for former PTMI personnel.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
