Working closely with the department manager, you'll support sales and profit objectives while adhering to established quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Foster trust and mutual respect among team members.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere to make customers feel valued by assisting with product inquiries across the department and store.
• Develop and retain comprehensive product knowledge to confidently answer questions and suggest items effectively.
• Offer product samples to encourage customers to try new or queried items.
• Inform customers about ongoing specials in Drug GM and Home categories.
• Recommend appropriate Drug GM and Home products to meet customer needs.
• Monitor "sell by" dates, taking necessary actions to manage product quality.
• Handle labeling, stocking, and inventory tasks within the department.
• Report discrepancies in ordering or shipping promptly to management.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
• Stay informed about current and upcoming ads, including seasonal and special promotions.
• Support safety initiatives by following procedures, identifying hazards, and communicating issues to management.
• Conduct preventive maintenance checks on equipment and report problems to supervisors.
• Alert management about any customer or employee accidents.
• Report all safety concerns, risks, or illegal activities such as theft, robbery, or fraud.
• Perform all essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to manage and remain composed under stressful situations.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic math proficiency including counting, addition, and subtraction.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous retail experience.
• Proficiency in a second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing).
