Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be over 18 years old.
• A full UK or EU driving license held for at least 12 months, with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Completion of an online driving risk assessment during the interview process, followed by an in-person driving assessment upon joining.
• Right to Work eligibility in the United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a 3.5-tonne van to deliver groceries punctually and in excellent condition to customer addresses.
• Perform consistent heavy lifting as part of deliveries.
• Conduct vehicle checks to ensure cleanliness, organization, roadworthiness, and secure loading before commencing deliveries.
• Deliver outstanding customer service, addressing queries, managing substitutions, and communicating any delays promptly.
• Gain detailed knowledge of Sainsbury’s products, services, and promotions to offer informed recommendations.
• Assist with in-store duties during periods without deliveries.
• Maintain flexible availability across a five-day contract including late nights (up to 11 PM) and weekends.
