Overview

As a Home Delivery Driver, you play a vital role in bringing customers' online grocery orders directly to their door, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be over 18 years old.
- A full UK or EU driving license held for at least 12 months, with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Completion of an online driving risk assessment during the interview process, followed by an in-person driving assessment upon joining.
- Right to Work eligibility in the United Kingdom.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a 3.5-tonne van to deliver groceries punctually and in excellent condition to customer addresses.
- Perform consistent heavy lifting as part of deliveries.
- Conduct vehicle checks to ensure cleanliness, organization, roadworthiness, and secure loading before commencing deliveries.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, addressing queries, managing substitutions, and communicating any delays promptly.
- Gain detailed knowledge of Sainsbury’s products, services, and promotions to offer informed recommendations.
- Assist with in-store duties during periods without deliveries.
- Maintain flexible availability across a five-day contract including late nights (up to 11 PM) and weekends.
