About the Role
Join a premier new dining destination in Wellington as Head Chef with Restaurant Associates, a distinguished hospitality provider backed by Compass Group New Zealand. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team to consistently achieve exceptional culinary and service standards.
- Create and curate innovative menus and dining concepts that captivate and satisfy customers.
- Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture dedicated to excellence and ongoing development.
- Manage commercial aspects including budgeting, controlling food costs, inventory and supplier relations to enhance business performance.
- Maintain stringent food safety, workplace health and safety, and operational protocols throughout kitchen operations.
- Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and elevate guest dining experiences.
Candidate Profile
- Holding a NZQA Level 4 Cookery Certificate or equivalent trade qualification, complemented by significant commercial culinary experience.
- Proven leadership skills with a history of developing dynamic, high-performing culinary teams.
- Strong financial and commercial insight pertaining to kitchen and food service management.
- A keen enthusiasm for premium hospitality, culinary innovation, and crafting exceptional dining moments.
- Capable of thriving in fast-moving environments while upholding meticulous quality and attention to detail.
