Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute various small to medium maintenance and repair projects for residential and commercial clients, with project durations ranging from two hours up to two days
• Communicate with customers to explain required work, manage expectations regarding scope and costs
• Provide excellent customer service following the "Mr. Handyman Way" process to foster long-term client relationships
• Work independently and self-manage assignments, often without supervision
• Handle payment collection from clients upon job completion
• Use personal tools and technology efficiently to document work and comply with company procedures
• Maintain safety by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and using booties to protect customers' premises

Candidate Requirements

• Residency within the local area
• At least eight years of paid professional experience as a handyman
• Possession of personal tools necessary for job performance
• Eligibility to be insured for driving the company's vehicle
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds unaided
• Capability to work safely at heights and perform overhead tasks for prolonged durations
• Professional appearance and diligent upkeep of the provided company vehicle

Technical Proficiencies

Candidates must demonstrate expertise in at least three of the following areas:

• Carpentry projects
• Bathroom renovations and improvements
• Kitchen modifications and upgrades
• Interior and exterior painting
• Drywall installation and repair, both minor and major
• Basic plumbing and electrical tasks within legal limits
• Flooring installation and refinishing
• Knowledge of local building codes
