Key Responsibilities

• Performing maintenance and repair tasks of varying complexity at residential and commercial sites; job durations from a couple of hours up to several days.
• Consulting with customers to explain required work, set clear expectations regarding scope and costs.
• Building lasting customer relationships through excellent service that follows the "Mr. Handyman Way" - a repeatable process ensuring customer satisfaction.

Essential Skills and Duties

• Self-management and ability to work independently for extended periods.
• Engaging with clients professionally, handling payments, and soliciting feedback.
• Possessing and using necessary hand tools and incorporating technology for job documentation.
• Following company procedures for electronic job recording.
• Adhering to safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment and footwear covers to protect client property.

Minimum Requirements

• Residency in the local area.
• At least five years of compensated experience as a handyman.
• Possession of general trade tools (specialized equipment will be provided).
• Must be insurable to operate a company vehicle.
• Successful completion of background and driving record checks.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and safely perform overhead or elevated work for prolonged periods.
• Maintain a professional appearance and proper upkeep of a company vehicle.

Preferred Expertise

• Competency in at least three of the following areas: carpentry, bathroom or kitchen remodeling, interior and exterior painting, drywall repair, general plumbing and electrical work where legally permitted, floor installation and refinishing, and knowledge of building codes.
