Job description
Overview
We are seeking individuals interested in shift-based work at Hobart, specializing in loading and unloading a variety of cargo including general, bulk, motor vehicles, machinery, steel, containers, and project cargo. Responsibilities encompass machinery operation, shipboard and wharf activities, and routine clerical duties. Must be prepared for irregular shift patterns requiring 24/7 availability without a fixed roster.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a full manual driver's license.
- Licenses for operating forklifts, dogging, and cranes are highly valued.
- Trade qualifications are considered an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse personnel.
- Proven commitment to safety practices and experience in maintaining safe work environments.
- Capability to work independently with a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Flexibility and adaptability to operate efficiently in demanding work conditions.
