Typical Daily Activities

• Improve equipment performance through recommendations and implementation of enhancements
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair advanced production machinery with minimal supervision
• Follow blueprints, written instructions, verbal directions, and sketches for work tasks
• Troubleshoot and diagnose both mechanical and electrical issues
• Operate production equipment and monitor its performance as needed
• Perform preventative maintenance duties in a 24/7 operational environment
• Utilize computerized maintenance management systems proficiently
• Ensure adherence to GMPs, HACCP, WHMIS, and health and safety regulations during all job functions
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities

Candidate Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in Canada and currently residing there
• Possess a valid Ontario Millwright license
• Manufacturing environment experience is desirable
• Skills in welding and plumbing are advantageous
• Experience operating powered material handling equipment such as walkies and forklifts is preferred
• Own a complete set of personal and professional hand tools
• Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Safety-oriented mindset
• Capability to handle heavy lifting tasks
• Basic computer skills coupled with strong communication abilities
• Highly self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and weekends as needed
