Job Overview
The Helper role involves supporting construction and plant operations with various manual tasks under the guidance of a Foreman or General Foreman. This position requires carrying materials and equipment to designated locations, preparing construction sites, and assisting in concrete pouring and finishing. The role also includes involvement in routine and turnaround maintenance tasks, supporting production-related shipping and receiving activities, and maintaining tools and workplace cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive instructions and direction from supervisory personnel.
- Transport materials and equipment to job sites and organize work areas.
- Prepare construction areas, work with concrete by pouring, spreading, and surface finishing.
- Participate in regular and turnaround maintenance projects at the plant.
- Assist in production activities including receiving and shipping of materials and products.
- Maintain records, tools, and equipment in good order.
- Engage in housekeeping and cleanup activities to ensure safe work environments.
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations and utilize required personal protective equipment.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience
No formal specialized knowledge or prior experience is generally necessary for this position. On-the-job training may provide the necessary skills required to effectively carry out the duties.
