Paires is an AI-driven fundraising platform that connects founders with appropriate investors from a vast global network, facilitating warm outreach that converts into meetings. Operating profitably with a small, senior, flat team, the company prioritizes speed and efficiency.
Role Overview
As a GTM Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the top of funnel efforts—the data and automation systems that pinpoint the right prospects at the perfect time and convert them into meetings. This position involves owning the entire outreach engine, emphasizing quality and relevance over volume, ensuring all communications are personalized and carefully vetted.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the outreach engine driving top of funnel activities.
- Manage data ingestion, deduplication, and enrichment processes integrating multiple sources into a unified dataset.
- Design targeting mechanisms to identify the ideal customer profile and the optimal moment for engagement.
- Ensure data integrity through domain matching, entity resolution, and enrichment to influence key metrics.
- Monitor and optimize the health of live outreach operations, including deliverability, suppression, outcomes, meeting and reply tracking, with feedback loops into data systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience owning and optimizing top of funnel processes, generating new meetings.
- In-depth knowledge of a specific ideal customer profile (ICP) and experience handling challenging sales cycles.
- Strong analytical skills with an intimate understanding of metrics such as volume, reply rates, booked meetings, and stringent suppression criteria.
- Hands-on coding abilities, including scripting and API integration; experience with automation tools like n8n, Clay, or Claude Code is beneficial.
- Competency in SQL or Python is advantageous but not mandatory.
Work Conditions and Compensation
- Fully remote work with asynchronous collaboration; your schedule will partially overlap with US Eastern time.
- Meetings are mostly scheduled on Mondays and Thursdays; other days are designated for focused individual work.
- Access to premium AI tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, and advanced models) provided by the company.
- Collaborative work environment alongside the GTM lead.
- Compensation range between CA$130,000 and CA$220,000 annually.
