Role Overview

We are seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to join our new AI lab in Berlin. This role involves developing scalable and clean web applications, including intuitive AI Agent interfaces integrated within our enterprise systems. You will have significant ownership, contributing actively to UI/UX and product decisions within a nimble, cross-functional team.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and scale frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
• Create robust integrations between frontend components, backend APIs, and AI systems.
• Utilize modern state management tools like Jotai and component libraries such as Mantine to develop responsive interfaces.
• Establish and uphold a clean, component-based frontend architecture.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate AI-powered features into production environments.
• Make engineering decisions prioritizing performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and user experience.

Technology Stack

• Core technologies: React, TypeScript, Jotai, Mantine, Playwright
• Supporting tools: Claude Code, GitHub, RESTful APIs

We embrace AI-native workflows, integrating tools like Claude Code into daily engineering practices.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience building React and TypeScript applications through professional work, internships, freelance projects, open source contributions, or personal projects.
• Deep knowledge of component-driven frontend architecture and contemporary React development patterns.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data flows.
• Strong design sensibility and intuition for creating user-friendly experiences.
• Familiarity with writing automated tests and a commitment to maintainable, testable code.
• Proficiency in Git and modern collaborative development methodologies.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work effectively within a startup-style, small tech team.

• Knowledge of FastAPI, MySQL, and recent advancements in AI technology.
• Experience with micro-frontends and web component-based structures.

• Experience in FinTech, RegTech, finance, or regulatory compliance sectors.
