Job description
About the Role
We are seeking an Investor Relations Associate to enhance the investor relations side at Paires, a platform connecting founders with a global network of family offices and high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs). Paires operates as a profitable, self-funded, and fast-moving two-sided network with paying clients, guided by a seasoned and agile core team.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and expand your portfolio of allocator relationships by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing connections with family offices and HNWIs who actively invest in US startups.
- Support live mandates by assisting in investor qualification, preparing briefing notes, and conducting follow-up communication aligned with company standards.
- Establish a monthly cadence of initiating first conversations with new family offices and HNWIs to continuously grow the investor base.
- Engage in continuous professional development by shadowing senior investor calls and refining briefing skills towards senior-level expertise.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in beginning to build a network of allocators through roles in wealth management, private banking, family offices, placements, or independent initiatives, with demonstrable self-sourced relationships.
- Ability to articulate effective methods for identifying suitable investors, initiating contact, and maintaining ongoing value to them.
- Understanding of how investors allocate capital, particularly with direct investments into US startups.
- Strong listening skills with a commitment to respecting investors' time and preferences, valuing discretion over aggressive pitching.
- Innate respect for confidentiality regarding investor identities, allocations, and conversations.
- Adaptability to advanced AI tools for pipeline and preparation tasks, enabling focus on relationship-building activities rather than administrative work.
What We Provide
- The flexibility of fully remote and asynchronous work, with limited overlap on US Eastern Time for core meetings scheduled on Mondays and Thursdays; the remainder of the days allow deep focused work.
- Access to cutting-edge AI technology to support investor engagement workflows, fully covered by the company.
- A supportive senior team to mentor you in mastering the craft of investor relations and involvement in active deal flow from the start.
- Opportunities for growth leading to managing your own investor network side within the company.
Additional Information
Please note when applying, do not disclose any investor names as the assessment focuses on the structure of your experience rather than contacts. Each application is reviewed carefully.
