Primary Duties

• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and zoning standards within the grocery department to keep it customer-ready at all times.
• Regularly rotate stock and discard expired or damaged items to uphold freshness and product quality.
• Ensure accurate pricing, signage, and inventory management by following established protocols for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, and labeling.
• Adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, handling, and cleaning procedures to guarantee a hygienic work environment.
• Fully stock and prepare the department by replenishing products, completing downstocking tasks, applying protective measures, and setting up modular displays including flexible modulars and new shelf caps.
• Comply with all health and safety policies and guidelines to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace.
• Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule by being available for various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for smooth store operations.

Challenges

• Manage a high volume of tasks efficiently under fast-paced conditions, including overnight shifts, while maintaining energy and focus.
• Handle physical demands such as standing for long durations, bending, lifting inventory or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive stocking, zoning, and product organization tasks with consistent attention to detail to meet store standards.
