Deli Associate (Full-Time)

Role Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a Deli Associate offers a valuable opportunity to enhance your retail and customer service capabilities. This role centers on delivering excellent customer service while adhering to Walmart's core values and maintaining the deli section to high standards.

Key Duties

• Maintain and zone the deli department effectively to ensure neatness and organization.
• Conduct stock rotation tasks and inspect products for expiration dates.
• Ensure merchandise is clearly labeled with accurate pricing.
• Follow strict protocols regarding cold chain standards, thermometer calibration, temperature logs, proper food handling, and compliance with sell-by and expiration dates.
• Handle customer orders involving slicing and preparing deli items including meats, cheeses, fried chicken, and specialty requests.
• Support front end associates with price verification when needed.
• Prepare deli foods including rotisserie chicken using ovens and deep fryers and fill prepared salads and side dishes for display.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy, and free from hazards such as debris, foreign objects, and liquids.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $18.05 per hour.
