Consumables Associate

Position Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a Consumables Associate provides a valuable opportunity to enhance your retail and customer service expertise. This role involves actively contributing to the efficient and fast-paced movement of stock from the backroom to the salesfloor while prioritizing excellent customer interactions. As part of the team, you will be engaged in stocking shelves, processing items, and assisting customers in a clean and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer courteous and friendly greetings to every customer entering the store.
• Assist customers by promoting products and services, guiding them to merchandise, and aiding in their purchasing choices.
• Address and resolve customer concerns or direct issues to management when necessary.
• Maintain the presentation of the salesfloor by replenishing stock, rotating goods, removing damaged or expired products, setting up displays, and ensuring pricing and signage are accurate.
• Handle claims and returns properly, secure merchandise, identify items with high shrink potential, and uphold workplace safety standards in line with company policies.
• Receive shipments, stock merchandise, operate necessary equipment correctly, and manage paperwork and logging tasks.
• Refer transactional or service-related inquiries to a Customer Service Manager when appropriate.
• Perform merchandise stocking and picking, handle downstocking when required, apply product protection measures, and set up modular displays including flex modulars and new shelf caps.

Compensation

The base wage for this position begins at $16.15 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.
