Graduate Engineer Trainee

About the Program

This Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) program offers a comprehensive, hands-on rotational traineeship crafted to develop freshly graduated electrical engineers into capable production professionals. Participants are assigned to one of three specialized tracks — Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or Estimation — with opportunities to gain cross-functional exposure, ensuring a holistic understanding of the journey from customer specification to tested dispatched product.

Trainees work closely with experienced engineers on active projects, learning company processes and standards while progressively handling greater responsibilities. Successful trainees are offered permanent positions in engineering roles upon program completion.

Tracks and Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance (QA): Perform inspections at multiple stages (incoming, in-process, final) on components and products, conduct electrical and functional tests to verify performance, maintain detailed records and documentation, support root cause analysis and corrective actions, and assist with calibration and quality system upkeep in alignment with ISO/IS/IEC standards.
• Manufacturing / Production: Assist in assembling and wiring control panels, filters, and power electronic units based on drawings and bill of materials, interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, support production planning and coordination, drive process improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce waste, while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards such as 5S.
• Estimation: Prepare bills of material and cost estimates based on customer requirements and technical documents, translate specifications into component selections and pricing, collaborate with design, procurement and sales teams for techno-commercial proposals, maintain costing databases, and contribute to value engineering initiatives that balance cost optimization with specification compliance.

Required Electrical Engineering Knowledge

• Fundamentals of power systems including single- and three-phase systems and power relationships.
• Concepts of power quality such as harmonics, total harmonic distortion, load balancing, power factor correction and compensation techniques, which align with company product focus.
• Power electronics including knowledge of converters, inverters, IGBT devices, and switching basics.
• Electrical measurement techniques using multimeters, clamp meters, power analyzers and comprehension of electrical parameters.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring and general arrangement drawings.
• Understanding of electrical safety practices and standards relevant to IS and IEC requirements.

Candidate Eligibility

• Educational qualifications: B.E., B.Tech, or Diploma in Electrical, Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) or closely related fields.
• Experience level: Recent graduates; final-year students awaiting results eligible.
• Academic performance: Strong and consistent academic record (approximately 60% or equivalent CGPA and above).
• Skill requirements: Solid fundamentals in electrical engineering, eagerness to gain practical experience in a shop-floor setting, basic proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD or other electrical drawing software is advantageous.
• Personal attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, careful attention to detail, ability to work collaboratively, and a proactive, hands-on approach.
